As a main power source of the aeronautical power system,the Integrated Drive Generator(IDG)has a long-term high failure rate due to the harsh working environment and the reliability of its work directly affects power supply performance and flight safety of the aircraft.Research of aircraft IDG reliability evaluation and life prediction will beneficial to improve safety and reliability of the aircraft.Based on evaluation and prediction the mean time between failures and reliability of aircraft IDG and combined with the least squares statistical principle,the Bootstrap method was introduced into the regression statistical analysis of fault data of aircraft IDG.Substituting simulation calculation for theoretical analysis in the interval estimation and substituting empirical distribution function of the mean time between failures and reliability for real distribution,the point estimate and interval estimate of the mean time between failures and reliability of aircraft IDG were obtained.This method provides theoretical basis for verifing correctness in expanding fault data and effectiveness in the research of aircraft IDG reliability evaluation and life prediction of the Edgeworth series method.According to fault data of aircraft IDG in the aviation maintenance engineering,the Edgeworth series combined with the fourth-order moment technology were used to set up reliability model of fault data of aircraft IDG,which expand the probability distribution function of fault data of aircraft IDG and the Hermite polynomial were used for calculation the point estimate of the mean time between failures and reliability of aircraft IDG was obtain.Edgeworth series were combined with the fourth-order moment technique and Hermite polynomial to fit the probability distribution function of fault data.The problem that the probability density function and probability distribution function of fault data of arbitrary distributed are difficult to determine and the complex calculation process and huge calculation of traditional method is solved.Correctness in expanding fault data and effectiveness in the research of aircraft IDG reliability evaluation and life prediction of the Edgeworth method was verified from the basic theory and engineering practice by Bootstrap method.The processing of fault data of aircraft IDG is more in line with the practical application of civil aircraft,providing useful exploration for the formulate maintenance scheme of aircraft IDG.
