As commonly used part in mechanical system,thrust washer is widely used in reciprocating rotary motion occasions in aerospace,power,transportation,and other fields.The main function is locating parts and avoiding the direct contact between parts,which can reduce parts movement and wear.Wear is the main reason for the failure of thrust washer.Not only can the wear cause the decline or the loss of washer function,but also has a serious effects on the whole mechanical system.This paper takes thrust washer as the research object,takes wear experiment and finite element analysis as the research means,and studies its wear and reliability,which is of great significance for improving the wear reliability of thrust washer and arranging timely maintenance.Main work and studies are as follows:Firstly,wear factors of the thrust washer are analyzed,and four main factors such as load,swing frequency,swing angle and surface roughness are determined.The uniform experimental design method is used to establish a reasonable experimental scheme and the experimental data such as the wear amount and the wear surface morphology are obtained.The wear mechanism is analyzed with the experimental data,and the wear mechanism type is determined.Secondly,combined with the characteristics of the wear process and experimental data.The partial least squares method is used to establish the prediction model between the four influencing factors,and the prediction effect of the wear model is tested.The results show that the model has good effect and high precision.Thirdly,according to the actual working condition of thrust washer,the finite element model of thrust washer is established,and the wear process under different working conditions of the washer is simulated analysis by combining archard model with finite element simulation.The formula for wear loss and times is obtained.The simulation value is compared with the experimental value,and the result shows that the relative error is small.Finally,based on the established wear prediction model,the wear reliability of thrust washer is analyzed.The loss of wear is used as a basis for judging whether the washer is normal or invalid.The reliability of the washer under different working life and the working life problem under different reliability are predicted and calculated by using random and fuzzy reliability analysis methods.
