Wind turbine pitch is a key part of the wind turbine system,it’s a complex nonlinear system interrupted by a lot of uncertainties.In order to achieve high performance control of wind turbines,pitch control technology is a very important method.When the wind speed is higher than the rated value,pitch angle is changed to control the capture nominal power from wind and protect the system from damage.Moreover,the efficiency of wind turbine is affected significantly.To overcome the system safety issues and improve the efficiency of the wind turbine,this paper uses linear active disturbance rejection control(LADRC).LARDC controller requires only two parameters that needs to be tuned i.e.observer bandwidth and controller bandwidth.In this study,these two parameters of LARDC are tuned in a way to effectively control the pitch angle control.The purpose of the proposed pitch angle control is to efficiently regulate the pitch angle of the wind turbine with respect to wind speed and to improve the efficiency of the wind turbine.To validate the robustness and the effectiveness of the proposed controller,we use different turbulent wind with different base speed of 12 m/s and 16 m/s.The key turbine variables are output power,rotor speed and pitch angle.This effective regulation of pitch angle control also helps in overcoming the safety issues.To validate the efficiency and advantage of the proposed controller,the results are compared with the conventional PD and FLPI controller.The results show that even for high turbulent wind,the pitch control system can track the wind to the rated power and all key turbine variables perform well.The simulation results show that the proposed controller is better in performance as compared to the conventional PD and FLPI controller.
