Nowadays,automobile have become an indispensable means of transportation and occupy a very important position in people's lives.As one of key components of a car,the transmission perfomance determines the car's quality.The transmission is an important part of the car's powertrain system,it is composed of transmission mechanism,operating mechanism,separating mechanism,and housing,etc.All internal parts of the transmission must meet the load carrying capacity in order to work reliably.Along with the continuous development of the automotive industry,the market is becoming more and more demanding for vehicles with lower fuel consumption,better driving performance,better durability and lower manufacturing costs.The transmission lubrication system plays a major role in the durability,the fuel consumption and cost.The unreasonable amount of lubricating oil in the transmission and the lubrication structure of the housing will increase friction and heat,the increased temperature will finally cause burns,gluing,and failure of internal parts.The design of the lubrication system is strongly related to the design of the housing structure,it can be judged the principle of the transmission lubrication system by looking into the structure of the transmission housing,and whether the lubrication is sufficient.If the design of the lubrication structure of the housing for the bearing is not good,the bearing may fail.The unreasonable design of the oil tunnel on the housing will lead to the failure of the internal parts like gear.The lubrication,sealing and transmission efficiency of the transmission are often opposite to each other.All of these requirements must be taken into consideration to ensure sufficient lubrication of the transmission in various working conditions and to ensure sealing performance and to meet transmission efficiency.This paper focuses on the structural design of the housing from the point of the influence of the housing structure on the transmission lubrication system.The mainly research as follows:1.Base on the common failure of the transmission,Through the tests with different oil mass for temperature rise test,endurance test,transmission efficiency test to find out the oil level is the main factor affecting the lubrication system,but the influence of oil quantity on each test is relatively independent,the amount of oil can not be satisfied with all of them.Through the analysis,the housing structure of transmission has a significant impact on the transmission lubrication system.it the main significance of this topic.2.Describe the main lubrication point of the manual transmission,including the cavity,the bearing,the sealing,the inner structure of the gearset and the vent plug,and so on.3.According to sample testing from eighty housings,get the mechanical property of the aluminium casting parts,it is the value for CAE anasisy of the housing strength assessment criteria.4.The CFD fluid dynamics simulation analysis,Romax and Ansys are used to analyze the bearing force of the housing to get the design principle of the bearing groove,the position of the bearing groove is not only meet the oil flow but also meet the housing strength.The angle of the bearing groove msut be designed around 30°-75.5°5.Through the lubrication and oil flow test to verify the relation between the oil hole angle and the engine assemble angle.it must get the sufficient lubrication under the different situation.When the engine angle is 15.27,the angle of the oil hole is 8.91°?6.According the temperature rise test,the oil level has the important influence with the temperature and efficiency.The oil level is higher,the temperature rises fast,the efficiency is lower.the opposite is the same.it must be designed the housing structure reasonable to make sure the oil level and all the performance of the transmission.The oil volume is 1.8L,the temperature rises to 170° within 68 mintues,the oil volume is1.66 L,the temperature is 136.2° during 5 hours.7.According efficiency test,the oil volume and the housing structure are very important with the efficiency test.The toqure wastage about 4.5mm oil level is the 12% 90 mm oil level,the efficiency of 3mm gap with the housing structure is higer 3% to 5% than 5mm ‘sThe conclusions can be gotten based on the above research,when we design the transmission,it must mark the oil mass,The oil level is higher,the temperature rises fast,the efficiency is lower.In order to ensure the normal operation of the transmission,it cant be added the oil to get the enough lubrication only,and modify the structure to meet all the transmission requirement.Enlarge the cavity of the housing to add the oil flow space to make sure the oil level.
