With the rapid development of information technology,the number of data center,which is the basis of information technology,is also becoming larger and larger.In order to maintain the normal real-time operation of the network,communications and other modern technology,and to ensure people’s living standard,data center must work uninterrupted throughout the year.However,the energy consumption of data centers is huge and the all year round uninterrupted operation of the computers doubled the energy consumption.Also the computers will also emit a huge amount of the heat during the working period.In order to lower the temperature in the computer room and ensure its normal operation,the refrigeration system will also need year-round cooling.Although the increasing number of data centers accelerates the development of information technology,the huge power consumption also consumes a lot of energy in our country.In recent years,energy conservation and emission reduction has become the principle that we needs to follow in pursuing the sustainable development.We need to follow the development of times but we can not consume too much non-renewable energy for developing technology.If we can reduce the energy consumption in data center effectively,it will surely contribute to the development of our country.The energy consumption of data center consists of several parts.The energy consumption of computers can count for 40 percent of that for the overall data center.If we can cool down the data center by using natural cooling system reasonably,we will be able to reduce the overall energy consumption of the data center in some degree,which is of great significance to the research of energy saving in the data center.This thesis takes a data center in Shenyang as an example,firstly analyses the environmental requirements of the data center and selects design parameters within it.Then it establishes a simplified model according to the instance data center and simulates the year-round cooling load of the data center by using EnergyPlus simulation software to determine the air supply parameters of the air conditioning system.The thesis focuses on the design of two operation scheme of the data center when using the technique of direct introduction of fresh air,taking the annual meteorological parameters in Shenyang area as a reference.Finally,the two kinds of direct introduction scheme of fresh air are compared with the power consumption of conventional air conditioning scheme,and the energy saving rate and economy in Shenyang area are analyzed,which provides reference for the research of natural cooling technology in data center. |
