At present,the development of gasoline engine is faced with three challenges:dynamic performance,economic performance and emission performance.In the traditional four-stroke gasoline engine,the ignition energy of spark plug has a great influence on the oil and gas ignition speed,flame propagation speed and engine efficiency in the cylinder.By increasing ignition energy,the combustion rate of gasoline engine can be changed to improve the performance of gasoline engine and realize energy saving and emission reduction.At present,the prospective technology of automobile exhaust recovery is adopted,which makes the engine put forward higher requirement on ignition energy under the condition of thin mixture and high rollover ratio.The introduction of plasma ignition technology in automobile engines is a possible solution.The plasma ignition technology can extend the ignition energy and ignition area of the spark plug under the condition of high temperature electromagnetic field.Aiming at the ignition system of gasoline engine,the plasma corona high-energy ignition technology under the condition of rare mixed gas is studied with the aim of improving ignition energy and saving energy and reducing emission.Based on the analysis of the ignition process of four-stroke gasoline engines,the influence of ignition energy,ignition advance Angle,ignition coil and spark plug on engine efficiency is discussed,and the realization scheme of single-power and multi-power plasma systems is proposed.The single-power plasma ignition system can provide high-energy plasma current between the spark plug electrodes,increase ignition energy and core radius,and improve combustion propagation speed at the moment the spark plug is formed by increasing energy storage capacitance and plasma power supply.For single power source plasma ignition system of the energy storage capacitor charging speed is slow,a combustion process can only provide instant plasma energy is limited,more power plasma ignition system was put forward,by increasing the voltage detection and drive control,source in the whole process of spark plug burning controllable,sustained plasma current,further improve the ignition energy and combustion efficiency.On this basis,the single-power and multi-power plasma ignition systems are designed and a prototype is developed.The plasma discharge process is verified by experiments.
