Earthquake is one of the main natural disasters that endanger human beings and damage traffic engineering.Therefore,the research of new bridge piers with good seismic performance has gradually become the focus of bridge seismic engineering technology.In this paper,combined with the key scientific research project of Gansu provincial department of communications,"study on the mechanical performance of steel-composite bridge pier",a new steel-composite bridge pier with short construction period,easy quality control and good aseismic performance is proposed.In this paper,the structural form of self-resetting controlled rocking steel-composite pier is studied,and the working mechanism,characteristics and advantages of the pier are explained.The pseudo static model test scheme is developed for the basic component of the above composite pier,namely single pier column,and the pseudo static model test is carried out.The dynamic performance of the pier is studied by sorting and analyzing the test data.The new pier is similar to the traditional column pier in normal use,which can satisfy the safety of the bridge structure.Pier after moving into the constraints,energy dissipation capacity of bridge piers are increased,stress can release of segmental,segmental mouth decreases,residual displacement and unloading stiffness decreases,and therefore under earthquake load can better protect the bridge pier,the pier from destruction,so that the bridge structure has good capacity after the quake,for earthquake relief to win valuable time and can reduce the damage of bridge structure in the earthquake.Finally,numerical simulation analysis is performed using the Pushover method.This part firstly introduces the basic theory of Pushover method and six lateral load modes,and determines the load mode using concentrated force.Then it describes the establishment process of the finite element pier model,and carries on the Pushover analysis to it,calculates the skeleton curve and the stress and displacement results.The results of skeleton curve,displacement and stress obtained by Pushover analysis are compared with the results of pseudo static test.The results show that the skeleton curve,displacement curve and stress curve are in good agreement with the numerical simulation results,which verifies the reliability of the test results.The research results of this paper not only have a deeper understanding of the dynamic performance of this new steel-composite pier,but also have some reference value for the practical application of this kind of structural pier,which provides the basic theoretical basis for the promotion and application of steel-composite pier in the future.
