Along with the rapid development of high-speed railway technology, the running speed of trains continues to rise, which makes the transportation more convenient and fast, but brings unprecedented challenges to the operation safety of trains.Because the speed increase will cause the train to generate more heat during the braking process,if the heat is not dissipated in time,it may cause wear and fatigue or even failure of the brake device,so choose a train brake disc with stronger heat dissipation capability is especially important for the safe operation of trains. This paper mainly studies the convective heat transfer characteristics of the internal passage of a straight rib brake disc.By designing different sizes and different numbers of heat dissipation ribs, the analogy between heat transfer and mass transfer is used to obtain the size and quantity of the brake disc. The parameter effect of convective heat transfer characteristics in the brake disc channel is investigated. In order to make the test condition be more in line with the actual operating conditions of the brake disc, the model of the brake disc is mounted on the shaft of a roller, two such combinations are mounted on both sides of the rotating arm respectively, when rotating arm rotates, two rollers rolls on a circular track.By this way the effect of the ground on the heat dissipation of the internal passage of the brake disc during the train running can be better simulated, and the experimental data obtained is more in line with the data at actual operating conditions of the brake disk.Main conclusions can be drawn as below.(1)The average Nu of the internal passage of the straight rib brake disc is from 3.58 to30.21,and it increases with the increase of Re.(2)When the number of straight ribs and the length are the same,at the same Re the rib height is larger, the greater Nu is.(3)When the height of the straight rib and the size are the same,at the same Re,the more the number of the ribs, the smaller the average Nu is.(4)When the height of the straight ribs and the number of the straight ribs are the same,at the same Re,the smaller the rib length, the larger the average Nu is.
