In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the level of computer application in China,it has had a great impact on the development of China, and the production methods of the society have also changed. The emergence of Building Information Model BIM(Building Information Modeling)has brought about major changes in the construction industry.BIM technology has five major features: visualization, coordination, simulation, optimization, and imageability.Get attention and application. When using BIM technology to manage projects, the integration and sharing of information enables the participants to participate in the project quickly and accurately, realizing the management of the entire life cycle of the building.BIM technology has developed very rapidly in the construction industry, has been widely applied, and achieved remarkable results. In addition,in the field of water conservancy,BIM technology has also made great progress, especially for the arch dam, which is beautiful in shape and light in structure, the application of BIM is more advantageous.Arch dams are widely used because of their good seismic performance and strong overload capacity. As a complex space shell structure, the stress state of the arch dam is very complicated, and the stress and strain performance of the dam is an important indicator for evaluating the safety of the arch dam.In recent years,"BIM+" has also been widely used in engineering projects, such as "BIM+VR","BIM+GIS","BIM+AR" and other technologies. However, compared with other professions, designers focus on finite element stress-strain analysis.Combining BIM technology with finite element can optimize the design stage and reduce rework. With the continuous maturity and development of computer technology, the combination of BIM technology and finite element will have greater development. This paper mainly introduces BIM technology into the finite element analysis process of arch dam.The model established by BIM technology is connected to the finite element analysis software ANSYS through the transfer interface, and combined with finite element analysis to analyze whether the arch dam is safe under static load. The main work and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)By summarizing the research status at home and abroad, summarizing the development of BIM technology, and expounding the characteristics and advantages of BIM technology, using the advantages of BIM information integration, establishing an information arch dam model, and deepening the design and utilization of arch dam drawings. The BIM model makes technical submissions, extracts engineering quantities, and provides guidance for construction and cost.On this basis, the arch dam is studied in combination with BIM technology and finite element analysis.(2)Through the study of the model transformation interface, explore the way to transfer the BIM model to the finite element analysis model.(3)Using elastoplastic materials to simulate the dam body structure of the arch dam,and considering the static water pressure, temperature rise and fall, and the weight of the dam under different working conditions, the static calculation of the arch dam is carried out to study its Force characteristics. The results of static analysis show that the large tensile and compressive stress of the dam body often appears at the junction of the dam body and the dam foundation and the spillway position, and obvious stress concentration occurs at the abutment, dam toe and dam.The stress value is too large. At this time, the equivalent stress method is used to eliminate it.Taking arch dam as an example, this paper combines BIM technology with finite element analysis, especially suitable for design optimization in engineering design stage,“checking and filling errors and correcting errors” and reducing rework. This achievement not only has a guiding role in the design and construction of arch dams, but also has reference value for similar projects.
