The slope stability in water resources and hydropower engineering construction occupies very important position,the slope stability problems tend to affect the length of the engineering construction and the safety of the project operation period,water resources and hydropower engineering of slope instability will not only cause huge economic losses,will threaten the safety of people,therefore,it is particularly important to slope stability analysis.In this paper,the finite difference method(FDTD)software FLAC3D was used to conduct numerical simulation of the stability of rock slope during excavation,aiming at determining the stable state of slope during excavation and proposing reasonable slope protection measures.This paper takes the excavation of the inlet and outlet slope of a pumped storage power station as an example.Because the excavation terrain conditions are relatively complex,this paper,based on the summary of previous experience,uses AutoCAD,GOCAD,Surfer,Rhinoceros,ANSYS,FLAC3D and other software to successfully establish the analysis model.This method is simple,feasible and has a strong reference.Through the FLAC3D excavations of the side slope,the results show that,after the excavations,the excavations of the rock,and the stresses of the excavations are released,and the surface of the excavation surface is the most obvious stress relaxation,and the overall stress level will be reduced,which will be the largest of the disturbances in the field of the excavation site and the surrounding area of the rock,and a small amount of the tensile stress zone,and the tensile stress level is smaller;After the slope excavation of inlet and outlet reaches stability,the deformation of slope rock mass is mainly reflected by the unloading rebound of excavation,which is mainly reflected by the increase of vertical displacement.The rock mass in the upper overburden area has the largest corresponding deformation increment due to the small deformation modulus,while the original rock mass near the foot of slope has a good quality and a small deformation increment;In the vicinity of slope fault,slope rock mass deformation is large,should do its protection measures;The safety factor of slope excavation in each stage is relatively large,and the slope is in a stable state.In practical engineering,it is necessary to strengthen the protection of the fault location of slope excavation surface to ensure the smooth completion of the project.
