Multi-material mixed body in white is the main research direction of lightweight automobile,the mix use of high strength steel and aluminum alloy on the body is gradually replacing the conventional steel body.Self-Piercing Riveting is one of the main joining methods of steel/aluminum.In this paper,the method of simulation and orthogonal experiment were used to analyze the process of Steel-aluminum SPR,aiming at the problem that the load of Steel-aluminum SPR is too large,Optimize the process parameters of SPR.And test the crack and fall off of the die may affect the quality of riveted joint.Firstly,the paper introduced the research background and significance of the project from the perspective of the project source.This paper introduced the current research status of multi-material body lightweight technology and the application of SPR technology at home and abroad,and the characteristics of substrate material involved in the test,and the relevant technology and equipment of SPR,in addition,other light weight materials and joint technology are introduced.By means of simulation analysis and orthogonal experiment,the general rule of Steel-aluminum SPR was analyzed.The accuracy of the simulation results was verified by coMparing the simulation results with the orthogonal test results.This paper summarizes the influence of the technological parameters such as sheet placement order,die size,rivet hardness,the head height and so on the quality of the joint.And the influence law of process parameters on the load of SPR,the process parameters of steel-aluminum SPR were optimized by relevant experiments.The damage of die was classified and the influence of die damage on the quality of riveted joint was investigated.At the end of this paper,the development of related industries are summarized and prospected.This paper summarized the general rules of the technology of Steel-aluminum SPR.It has guiding significance to actual production and use.
