Research On The Choice Of R&D Partnership And Its Impact On Innovation Performance

In the past five years,the government has continued to encourage enterprises to establish R&D cooperation,and continuously optimize the innovation ecology of society.For the enterprises,the establishment of R&D cooperation are also conducive to the absorption of innovative knowledge by enterprises and guarantee the core competitiveness.Different type of R&D partners have different technological and information advantages,which lead to different results.Therefore,how to choose a R&D partner that matches their needs has become an important issue in the establishment of R&D cooperation.Based on the rich theoretical foundation,this paper analyzes the different strategic objectives and development bottlenecks faced by enterprises in different stages of R&D from the perspective of R&D stage characteristics,and explains how enterprises should choose and establish appropriate R&D cooperation relationships.And this paper systematically summed up the specific role of different types of R&D cooperation to promote innovation performance.In the case analysis part,this paper selects the new energy vehicle enterprise BYD Co.,Ltd.as the research object,and draws the following conclusions through analysis:First,the R&D cooperation relationship can help improve the technological innovation capability of the enterprise and thus improve the innovation performance.BYD and its R&D partners have combined their heterogeneous advantages to achieve innovation.Second,there are differences in the impact of different types of R&D partnerships on technological innovation.Research-based R&D partners provided BYD with sufficient basic technical information,and through extensive R&D cooperation experience,helped BYD to build a research and development test platform,expand the R&D model,and improve the output of scientific and technological achievements.The profitable R&D partners share more market accurate information,provide guidance for BYD’s technological innovation,and promote economic efficiency.Third,different types of R&D partnerships play different roles in the technology innovation cycle.BYD’s research-based R&D partnership is based on research and development,using its resource advantages and cooperation experience to rapidly develop R&D,while profitable partnerships occur during BYD’s transformation of results.B YD has successfully realized the marketization and commercialization of research and development results by utilizing synergies with customers and suppliers.Finally,the paper gives corresponding recommendations from the government and enterprise levels.
