Research On The Impact Of Government Subsidy On Innovation Performance Of New Energy Vehicle Enterprise

In recent years,with the continuous deterioration of the world’s climate and environment,sustainable development has become a hot topic.Under the background that the country advocates the development strategy of energy conservation and emission reduction and puts forward ecological goals such as "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality",environment-friendly new energy vehicles have attracted the attention of the government and the market.In the past decade,the government has introduced multiple subsidy policies for new energy vehicles to support the development of new energy vehicles.China’s government has a large amount of subsidy funds and a large amount of efforts.Driven by policies,major automobile companies have actively invested in the new energy vehicle industry,increased research and development efforts in new energy vehicle technology,and accelerated the development process of the industry.However,as the market share of new energy vehicles continues to grow,the intensity of subsidy policies will become lower and the industry competition will become greater.Due to technological innovation being the most critical factor in the development of the new energy vehicle industry,studying the impact of government subsidies on the innovation performance of new energy vehicle enterprises can help new energy vehicle enterprises fully leverage the role of government subsidies in promoting their development and achieve better development in market competition.Based on previous scholars’ research,this thesis discusses the impact of government subsidies on the new energy vehicle industry in combination with externality theory,technology innovation theory,transfer payment theory,and government intervention theory.Next,the impact path of government subsidies on the innovation performance of new energy vehicles was analyzed,and R&D expenditure and the number of R&D personnel were determined as innovation input indicators,while intangible assets and the number of patents were determined as innovation output indicators.Then,take SAIC Group as a sample for case analysis.Through Data envelopment analysis and analysis of the impact of government subsidies on innovation performance indicators,it points out that SAIC Group’s capital efficiency is not high in the process of using government subsidies,and puts forward reasonable suggestions for new energy vehicle enterprises to reasonably use government subsidies and improve innovation performance from the perspective of enterprises and the government.Through research,it has been found that government subsidies have a significant promoting effect on SAIC Group’s innovation performance,which can to some extent promote enterprises’ scientific research and innovation activities,accelerate the formation of new energy vehicle technology,and in terms of innovation input and output,government subsidies have a more significant effect on improving innovation investment.However,the unpaid government subsidy funds have not only exacerbated SAIC Group’s dependence on government subsidies,but also led to unreasonable allocation of funds and low efficiency.More importantly,the new energy vehicle market has gradually shifted from policy driven to market driven,and government support will gradually decrease in the future.Therefore,new energy vehicle enterprises should be guided by innovative output,make reasonable use of government subsidies,establish and improve internal supervision and audit mechanisms,and improve their financing capabilities and industry competitiveness.At the same time,relevant departments need to be more targeted in formulating policies and strengthen supervision and review of subsidized enterprises,in order to better promote the development of the new energy vehicle industry.By studying the impact of government subsidies on the innovation performance of new energy vehicle enterprises,the literature on the impact of government subsidies on enterprise innovation has been enriched.The relevant suggestions proposed in this article to promote the innovation performance level of new energy vehicles also have certain reference value for the development of China’s new energy vehicle industry.
