As an important component in industrial transportation system,butterfly valves are often used under multi-phase flow conditions,and use environment is complicated.Due to frequent changes in butterfly valve opening,the distribution of solid-liquid two-phase flow field in butterfly valves is complex.The erosion of the particle to butterfly valve and the cavitation of the valve cause serious damage to the valve.Therefore,in this paper,three-dimensional modeling for butterfly valve is completed by solidworks software,and the butterfly valve flow path model is simplified.The butterfly valve is meshed by ICEM software.The numerical simulation is carried out by fluent software,the inlet velocity 1m/s?3m/s?5m/s,particle diameter 50?m?100?m?150?m,butterfly valve opening degree 30°,45°,60°,75°,90°,butterfly valve flow resistance characteristics,flow field distribution,butterfly valve erosion wear,butterfly valve cavitation erosion was studied by numerical simulation,and optimize the structure of the butterfly valve,provide a good application basis for increasing the time of the butterfly valve and enhancing the safety of industrial systems.The result showed that:Butterfly valve opening has the greatest influence on erosion wear.The smaller valve opening,the more severe erosion of the butterfly valve,the greater maximum wear rate and overall mass loss.The higher inlet velocity,the greater the erosion wear,the larger the particle diameter,the less erosion wear.There are two main parts to the erosion wears of the butterfly valve.The first part is located on the surface of the butterfly board,and the front wear of the butterfly board is much higher than that ofthe back side.The second part is located on the wall of the pipeline downstream of the butterfly valve.The butterfly valve opening is the main parameter affecting the flow resistance characteristics of the butterfly valve.The influence of the inlet velocity and particle diameter on the flow resistance characteristics of the butterfly valve is relatively small.As the butterfly valve opening and inlet velocity increase,the flow coefficient increases,the resistance coefficient decreases,and the pressure coefficient decreases.The increase of the particles leads to a decrease in the flow coefficient,an increase in the resistance coefficient,and an increase in the pressure coefficient.The pressure coefficient will show a significant turning point at the butterfly board position.Relative to the influence of inlet velocity on the cavitation of the butterfly valve,the degree of opening has a greater influence on cavitation.As the opening degree increases,the cavitation of the butterfly valve will be significantly reduced.When the opening degree of the butterfly valve is 30°,the degree of cavitation is the most serious.When the butterfly valve opening degree is 90°,the butterfly valve will not cavitation,and the increase of the inlet velocity will cause the degree of cavitation to increase.The erosion wear rate of the optimized butterfly valve plate is reduced by 30%,the erosion wear rate of the pipe wall is reduced by 10%,the optimized butterfly valve cavitation index is improved,and the cavitation degree is reduced.
