With the rapid development of China’s railways,the demand for railway traction transformers is increasing,so the energy-saving requirements of iransformers are getting higher and higher.110kV Vv wiring roll core traction transformer is made of high quality silicon steel sheet,simple manufacturing with less material,greatly reducing the iron loss and no-load curreni value,the capacity and model of transformer can be reasonably calculated,and the capacity can reach 100%,the average load rate of transformer is significantly increased,is the firsi choice for power system loss reduction and energy saving iransfomier.This paper mainly introduces the research and development design of the first roll core Vv wiring energy-saving traction transformer in China and even the world,and completes its structure and electromagnetic optimization design.The main research content of this paper is as follows.Firstly,the principle of Vv roll core traction transformer is analyzed.Several important basic parameters of transformer design,including core and no-load parameters,short-circuit impedance and coil temperature rise.the calculated results are compared wilh the experimental results.SecoDdly,the abnormal operation process of transformer with short circuit and overload are analyzed and calculated as follows.(1)The ability of the transformer to withstand short-circuit:calculate and verify the balance of the ampoule,short-circuit electric power,wire stress and short-circuit thermal stability by analytical method.(2)Calculation of overload temperature rise:the exponential equation method is used to analyze and calculate the overload capacity of the transformer,and the correspondingoverload temperature rise limit curve is drawn.The overload temperature rise calculation program is designed and utilized.The program calculates the overload curve that the transformer of this scheme needs to meet,and draws a graph of the load temperature.Then,Ansoft Maxwell finite element simulation software was used to simulate the electric field to verify the safety and reliability of the insulation structure.Finally,the finished products are made according to the optimized design scheme,and the tests are all qualified and connected to the network,verifying the energy-saving,accuracy and safety of the research and development design.
