Research On Urban Colors Of Hohhot Historical And Cultural Streets

As economic development enters a new normal,the urban development patterns is changing,and the livable,suitable,energetic and distinctive construction goals in the new stage puts forward higher requirements for the creation of urban feature.As an important dominant factor of urban features,urban color assumes the primary responsibility of showing the regional characteristics and cultural characteristics of the city.Hohhot is a regional center city with multicultural integration.The unique natural and human environment nurture the urban color culture with distinctive regional characteristics.However,in the early stage of rapid construction,due to lack of effective management and control,problems such as color pollution and weakening of the cultural context were highlighted.As a core area that shows the traditional colors and features of Hohhot,the Da Zhao and Xi Li Tu Zhao historical and cultural districts have important significance for the study of the color of the city and the shaping of the characteristics.Guided by the theory of color geography and color psychology,based on research results at home and abroad,research on the development and characteristics of urban colors in Historical and Cultural Blocks can be realized.In first part of this research,the color inheritance rules and characteristics of historical and cultural blocks was clarified through the literature review and on-site interviews,and the influence factors from the natural and human environment was analyzed.And then the urban color was first recognized in time.In second part,under the guidance of the Jean—Philippe Lenclos' s color survey method,the color status survey of the district was completed.Combine qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to interpret current color characteristics and summarize problems.Thereby the urban color was recognized in space in second time.In third part,by integrating color features in time and space,the principle of urban color control was clarified,that was,the principles of respecting the base environment,continuing the characteristics of urban context;overall harmony and order,highlighting contrast in key points;and zoning and hierarchical management.And the urban color three control strategies were proposed based on those principle,they were overall color positioning,partition classification guidance,detailed optimization design.The results of research will provide reference for the implementation of urban color planning practice research in Hohhot,and also enrich the theoretical system of urban color research in Inner Mongolia.
