Study On The Design Strategy Of Outdoor Thermal Environment Suitable For Aging In Home For The Aged Guangzhou

China has entered an aging society since the end of last century.The design of urban space for aging needs urgent attention and promotion.Some studies have shown that more elderly people participate in outdoor activities can effectively maintain their vitality and subjective well-being.At present,most of the research and norms on outdoor environment design are barrier-free space design.There is little attention to outdoor thermal environment design,and less research on climate conditions in hot and humid areas.Therefore,it reveals the elderly's feeling and evaluation of outdoor thermal environment.Research,validate the existence of thermal comfort and explore issues related to space utilization and thermal environment.By comparing the results with those of different areas and different types of people,the outdoor thermal comfort and space utilization of the elderly in hot and humid areas are revealed,which is helpful to create a popular outdoor environment for the elderly.On the basis of exploring the outdoor thermal comfort threshold of the elderly in hot and cold seasons in hot and humid areas,this paper takes Guangzhou Geriatric Home for the Elderly as a case study.Through the study of the correlation between thermal environment and the activities of the elderly,it tries to summarize and put forward the design strategy of outdoor thermal environment aging for the elderly in hot and humid areas,so as to provide the design of outdoor environmental aging for the contemporary outdoor environment in hot and humid areas.Provide reference for research methods and design objectives.This paper mainly carries on the following three tasks:(1)Study on outdoor thermal environment of Guangzhou geriatric home.Taking Guangzhou Geriatric Home as a case study,this paper obtains hourly data of climate data(air temperature,relative humidity,black ball temperature,wind speed),outdoor thermal comfort status of the elderly and related characteristics of outdoor activities of the elderly through onsite climate testing in winter and summer,on-site thermal comfort questionnaire and observation notes of outdoor activities of the elderly.(2)Preliminary study on PET threshold of outdoor thermal comfort for the elderly in hot and humid areas.In this study,through the collation of measured data and questionnaire results,with the help of Rayman model,the physiological equivalent temperature PET was calculated,and the SPSS regression analysis was used to establish an outdoor thermal comfort evaluation model for the elderly.(3)The aging design strategy of outdoor thermal environment for the elderly in hot and humid areas is put forward.Based on the analysis of the correlation between the thermal environment and the activities of the elderly at the measuring points of the geriatric institute,the preference of the seasonal thermal environment parameters,the choice of time and space for outdoor activities of the elderly,and the demand of the thermal environment for outdoor activities in winter and summer were clarified.From the point of view of creating an outdoor thermal comfortable environment suitable for the elderly,the aging design strategy of outdoor thermal environment based on hot and humid areas was proposed.Taking the case study of Guangzhou Senior Home for the Elderly as an example,this study puts forward the design strategies of outdoor thermal comfort threshold and thermal environment aging for the elderly,and provides methodological reference and design guidance for relevant research and design practice.
