In Northwest China,where there is rich coal but poor water resource,in order to settle the contradiction between power and water,Using air cooling system to replace the water cooling system for steam turbine exhaust seems to be an inevitable way.In fact,indirect air cooling condenser system is gradually taking over the places of direct air cooling condenser system to adapt the domestic coal price fluctuating and moreover to meet the power plants’ development requirement of “High efficiency but Low energy consumption”.Nevertheless,in my company,the previous indirect air cooling condenser system cannot satisfy the market needs anymore.Therefore,developing new indirect air cooling condenser systems is of urgency.In this thesis,firstly,the working environment and technical requirement of indirect air cooling condenser system are described.Most importantly,the SDSK type indirect air cooling condenser system is developed.Moreover,an aluminum alloy radiator with high efficiency,light weight but low initial investment is designed.After calculating the power and flow resistance of the tower,it is discovered that the resistance of the tower is related to number of the radiator row,air mass flow rate and tower outlet velocity.It is also found out that Anti-freeze design such as two-passed arrangement of radiator,could reduce the risk of freezing of radiator in winter.Besides,the process technology of radiator is formulated,for example,using mechanical expansion joint between tube and fin.Additionally,a special process for fins-elastic flanging is designed,which improves the radiator thermal performance and mechanical strength.Finally,Fin stamping test shows that fin stamping success rate is closely related to fin spacing.Fins are easier to tear when fin spacing increases.The SDSK is an open system.The hydraulic pressure test of each single component together with the water injection test of the entire system,ensure the seal and strength inspection of an open system.The developed SDSK indirect air cooling system has already been in service in a power plant.
