Aircraft assembly tooling is an important equipment in the process of aircraft assembly.At present,the structure design of aircraft assembly tooling has some problems in aviation enterprises,such as low design efficiency,which has become the bottleneck of aircraft rapid production preparation stage.Therefore,this paper analyses the structural characteristics of aircraft assembly tooling,to realize the rapid design of its three main components: skeleton,shape positioning parts,common parts and components(including bearings,clamping parts,etc.),studing the rapid design technology of aircraft assembly tooling.The work done in this paper is as follows:1)Analyzing the structural characteristics of skeleton,abstracting the concepts of skeleton axis model.Unifying and Standardizing the skeleton design process based on the concepts.Firstly,designing the algorithm to compute the three-dimensional bounding box of the assembly.Then,constructing the skeleton axis model which is based on the skeleton section library.Finally,Designing the skeleton entity by profile sweeping and intersection processing.2)Studying the rapid design technology of two typical shape locating parts,including fixture board and inner plate.For fixture board,The concept of functional features is proposed and its structure is divided,The sketch template parameterization is used to design the fixture board quickly.For inner plate,its structure is divided into three components: inner plate basal body,working face and long truss groove.Aiming to solve the difficulties of rapid design of each component,the paper adopts sketch template parameterization to design inner plate basal body quickly,proposes fast extraction algorithm and automatic extension algorithm to generate working face quickly,and realizes batch design method of long truss groove.3)Proposing a rapid design method of common parts and components based on library(which is a repository of parts and components parameterized models).Studying the key points of establishing parameterized model of component: combining knowledge engineering to realize the change of geometric and topological structure of parameterized model,establishing parameterized model at component level.Using data storage technology to build parts and component library.Based on the library,realizing the rapid instantiation and initial positioning of the parts and common components.4)Based on the above research results,in CATIA platform,a rapid design system for aircraft assembly tooling is developed by CAA technology.The system includes skeleton rapid design module,shape positioning parts parametric design module,common parts and components rapid design module,which meets the basic requirements of aircraft assembly tooling rapid design,and has been verified by many examples.
