In recent years, the rapid increase of vehicles has aggravated traffic congestion and brought about a series of environmental and safety problems.Intelligent Traffic Systems(ITSs)can effectively alleviate traffic congestion, and have become one of the important development directions of modern transportation.Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks(VANETs)are an important part of ITSs and play an irreplaceable role in alleviating traffic problems. Therefore,VANETs have received widespread attention. As a self-organizing network with vehicles as nodes,VANETs can realize the communication between vehicles or between vehicles and roadside infrastructure using communication equipment and control system. In VANETs,the nodes are mobile, and the communication range of the nodes is only a few hundred meters,so the links between the nodes are not stable.Dynamic network topology brings a great challenge to data transmission. Therefore, the study of efficient and stable routing algorithm is a hot issue in the field of VANETs.According to the network characteristics of VANETs and the urban traffic scene, this thesis proposes an encounter-aware and clustering-based routing algorithm for information-centric VANETs and a location-aware based opportunistic routing protocol for VANETs.The main research work is as follows:1.Aiming at the node movement pattern in urban traffic network,an encounteraware and clustering-based routing algorithm for information-centric VANETs(ECRA)is proposed. In VANETs,the the dynamic change of topology leads to low transmission efficiency. To improve transmission efficiency, the caching mechanism of Content Centric Network(CCN)is introduced into VANETs to form informationcentric VANETs(IC-VANETs).The awareness of encounter allows vehicles to record the movement track of other vehicles to find the destination node quickly. The clustering can better adapt to the movement pattern of nodes in urban traffic network, avoid invalid data exchange between nodes and improve the efficiency of data exchange between nodes.2.In order to improve the routing and transmission efficiency of VANETs,a location-aware based opportunistic routing algorithm for VANETs(LORA)is proposed.Firstly, the channel quality and encounter duration are calculated to ensure that the neighbor node can complete the high-quality transmission of all data. Then, the transmission advantage of the node is judged according to the transmission delay and the motion state. The total utility of the node is calculated by combining multiple factors. If the neighbor node has higher utility,it can be used as a candidate node.If the qualified neighbor node does not exist, the data will be sent to the node with high centrality to ensure that the data can be transmitted to the destination node with a greater probability. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed routing methods can achieve the goal of improving data transmission efficiency and reducing transmission delay in urban traffic scenarios. In addition,This thesis also provides some new ideas for VANETs routing protocol design.
