The vertical thrust sliding bearing system is one of the most critical components of the rotating machinery,and is an important guarantee for the normal power generation and safe operation of the machine unit.Vertical thrust sliding bearings are normally flooded self-lubricated,in which the heat is removed through the oil-water cooler to achieve stable operation of heat balance;Whether the internal structure,oil circuit,oil-water cooler cooling system match with the bearing heat or not will affect the lubrication performance,furthermore affect the load capacity of the bearing.If the bearing is designed with a bad cooling system,whose heat transfer capacity is insufficient,therefore,the bearing pads temperature will be too high,and the life of the lubricating oil will be shorten,which will seriously lead to destroy of bearing pads,causing significant economic losses due to abnormal shutdown,and even more may result in major safety incidents.This paper studies a new type of vertical thrust sliding bearing with large load capacity and energy saving,which is of great significance for the design,serial development and product competitiveness of vertical thrust sliding bearing.In this paper,a new type of vertical thrust sliding bearing is developed,which designed with a sectional elastic thrust pads structure,which effectively utilizes the structural space,greatly increases the bearing area and improves the loading capacity;and adopts the closed-type,oil-water cooler heat exchanger oil circuit structure design.The flow rate is controllable,the flow rate of the cooling oil is increased,and the heat exchange efficiency is greatly improved.The specialized test rig is built to test the heat transfer performance of different cooler structures,and the wired structure oil-water cooler with the best heat transfer performance is selected asthe oil-water cooler for the new vertical thrust sliding bearing;finally,the performance test of the new vertical thrust sliding bearing product developed in this paper on the vertical bearing test rig shows that the loading capacity has been improved;the main research contents are as follows:(1)In view of the related problems in the traditional vertical thrust sliding bearing,the structure of the sectional padsare adopted,and the DyRobesv2.2 software is used for calculation.It is found that the new vertical thrust bearing has greater loading capacity,more compact structure and lower cost.The lubrication performance meets the requirements.(2)Through the design of the oil-water cooler lubricating oil circuit,the heat exchanger efficiency of the cooler is improved,the oil-cooler calculation program is compiled,and the design parameters are determined according to the actual working conditions.At the same time,the ICEPAK software is used for simulation analysis.The correctness of the selected cooler was verified.(3)By testing the heat dissipation efficiency of different structural coolers in different status,the influencing factors of the cooling efficiency of the cooler and the heat dissipation efficiency of different types of coolers are obtained,and the heat transfer rate of the wired cooler is the largest.The accuracy of the selected bearing cooler design is verified.(4)Through the test and research on the traditional vertical thrust bearing and the new vertical thrust bearing product,the test results are compared with the calculated results,and the structural design of the new vertical thrust bearing is verified,and the performance of the product is improved.
