Cracks of super-long concrete pools often occur during construction and normal use.Expansion joints are usually installed to release temperature and shrinkage stress in accordance with the specifications.However,a large number of engineering examples show that cracks will still appear in the pool with joints,which not only weaken the integrity and seismic performance of the structure,but also are complex in the structure and unfavorable to the waterproofing of the pool.So there are more and more super-long concrete pools without joints.The most important factor causing cracks in super-long concrete pool is temperature stress,then there are other factors such as shrinkage of concrete,lateral soil pressure,creep of concrete and so on.When cracks appear in the pool,it is necessary to take appropriate measures to strengthen the structure in time in order not to affect its normal use.Therefore,it is very important to select the strengthening scheme and study the strengthened effect.This paper uses the finite element software ABAQUS to analyze the stress of the super-long reinforced concrete pool,and discusses the influence rules of internal forces of factors such as soil pressure,temperature change and shrinkage of the pool wall.And the wall of the pool with cracks is strengthened and reinforced.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.This paper summarizes causes of cracks appearing in the super-long concrete structure,and analyzes several main factors which cause cracks in the pool wall of the super-long concrete pool.2.Based on the elastic analysis method considering the temperature reduction coefficient,this paper put forwards the methods of determinating the shrinkage equivalent temperature difference and the wall temperature difference of the super-long concrete pool wall.3.This paper uses the finite element software ABAQUS to establish the finite element model of the super-long reinforced concrete pool,and studies the stress state of the pool wall under the combined conditions of lateral soil pressure,shrinkage and wall temperature difference,and analyzes the causes of cracks in the pool wall.4.This paper uses software ABAQUS to analyze the stress condition of pool wallstrengthened with pasting the steel plate,and compares with that before strengthening,then confirms the effectiveness of the strengthening,and determines the strengthening scheme of the pool wall with cracks.5.This paper carries out finite element variable parameter analysis of pasting the steel,and studies the effect of steel plate strength,thickness and transverse spacing on strengthening respectively.6.This paper summarizes crack-controlled measures of the super-long concrete pool wall and provides reference for the design and construction of similar projects.
