As mobile transport machinery, forklift truck is playing an irreplaceable role in logistics industry because of its flexibility, and the research and design of forklift truck is improving continuously.Forklift truck mast structure is the main working device and load-bearing mechanism, mainly to complete forking, handling, lifting and other operations of the cargo. In the process of handling goods, the forklift will produce a certain amount of elastic deformation and plastic deformation.Testing the deformation of mast structure under the action of load,is an important factor to improve the design level. This paper takes the mast structure of a internal-combustion type forklift as the research object, and study on deformation measurement technology.Firstly finite element model of forklift truck mast structure is established using UG,Hyper Works software, and has carried on the static analysis. Then use capacitive sensor to analysis the deformation of the mast structure in a differential method,so the sensor can eliminate fringing effects and it has advantages of a wide measurement range,a higher linearity as well as less influence of temperature. After that, the analog signal was connected to the computer through the NI ELVIS data acquisition device. And design a virtual instrument in LabView which include digital band-pass filter and fast fourier transform. Before the experiment begin,we need to debugging the virtual instrument and testing the stability of the system. In the end of this paper, the main source of measurement error is analyzed in detail. This study can provide a certain amount of reference and basis for lightweight design of the forklift truck,so it has some practical value in engineering field.
