Application Of Spatial Information Technology In Digital Protection Of Traditional Settlements In South Of The Five Ridges

Digital protection of traditional settlements means using Digital technology to establish detailed digital archives of traditional settlements’ material cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage,so as to achieve the widespread dissemination and sustainable inheritance of traditional settlements.However,there are many shortcomings in the current digital protection of traditional settlements,it is mainly embodied in three aspects.Firstly,they only pay attention to the excavation,collation and analysis of traditional settlement culture,and lacks the spatial information content of material landscape.Secondly,they focus on the acquisition and expression of spatial information of traditional settlement material landscape,lacking the support of cultural connotation.Third,the results of digital protection of traditional settlements cannot be effectively managed and utilized,resulting in waste of resources to a certain extent,and the significance of dissemination and inheritance cannot be reflected.In view of the above problems,this paper chooses the typical villages of Guangfu in the cultural center of south of the five ridges as the research object,discuss the method in practice.Firstly,the natural conditions,historical context and cultural landscape of the research object are systematically sorted out through literature research and field investigation.Then it takes geography,history,architecture,typology and other disciplines as its theoretical basis,by using spatial information technology such as GIS and RS to analyses the overall cultural landscape characteristics of traditional settlements and the characteristics and formation mechanism of typical architectural landscape elements,so as to obtain a more comprehensive cultural connotation of traditional settlements.At the same time,new mapping technologies such as UAV tilt photogrammetry and three-dimensional laser scanning are used to obtain the spatial information of traditional village landscape and typical buildings indoors and outdoors respectively,combining spatial information technology such as three-dimensional modeling and reverse design,The 3D model of the overall landscape inclination of the settlement,the fine 3D model of the interior and exterior of the building and the design of the flat section of the building are constructed,acquire and express spatial information of traditional settlement material landscape.Finally,the traditional settlement visualization platform is designed and developed by using database technology and software development method.It also explores the basis for the administrative examination and approval decision-making of the urban planning management department or the cultural relics protection department,and it realizes the effective utilization of digital resources in traditional settlements.To some extent,it reflects the significance of inheritance.The method discussed in this paper in practice is an exploration to improve the technology and system of digital protection of traditional settlements.A comprehensive digital archive of traditional settlements can be established,which includes the internal cultural characteristics of traditional settlements("virtual")and the external landscape performance("real").It is of great practical and social significance to visualize and interact the contents of archives in the system,innovate the forms of archives display,and provide reference for the research and protection of cultural relics in China.
