With the rapid growth of expressway mileage in China,a large number of expressways have been constructed in the western mountainous areas.Frequent geological disasters in related areas seriously endanger the safety of expressways and the lives and property of the people,which poses new challenges to expressways construction and management.Most of the expressway company rely on inefficient artificial observation in geological disaster monitoring and prevention.As people demand more safety,comfortable and good service on expressway,the existing expressway operation is difficult to meet people demand and an advanced method is in urgent need.This article focuses on construction and application on intelligent monitoring system of the of highway geological disasters.Geological hazards cover a wide range of areas among which three main types that do the greatest harm to expressways: collapse,landslide and debris flow.They not only destroy the road infrastructure,but also affect the personal safety of the people passing through and the management personnel of expressways.With the help of the rapid development of intelligent transportation system in China,this article designs monitoring system highway geological disaster through analysis of research results and common features on intelligent transportation system in China and abroad.The monitoring system utilize intelligent,information-based means to monitor geological disaster,to realize disaster warning,information release and other functions.The system is divided into four layers: 1.Perception layer,mainly responsible for the collection of information data.It consists of intelligent monitoring facilities,geological disaster monitoring facilities and other infrastructure.2.Transmission layer,mainly responsible for the transmission of information and data.At present,it mainly focuses on optical fiber and wireless communication,and further improves the efficiency of data transmission through the mobile Internet.3.Processing layer,mainly responsible for the processing and analysis of information data.To analyze and study the information and data,the geological disaster monitoring and warning model should be established in this layer.4.Application layer,main carrier converts information into services.This level provides disaster and vehicle shunt information for the public,expressway company and government.Take Sichuan Duwen expressway as an example,the road has been suffer many serious geological disasters which become a big problem in its management.In recent years,to intensify the geological disaster monitoring,an intelligent monitoring system has been established.In 2018,several debris flows have been successfully detected and managed timely and effectively.In the future geological disaster monitoring intelligent system also has the huge imaginary space,as the upgrade of artificial intelligence,big data,Internet of things technology,data processing,and efficiency of information release,geological hazard detection accuracy and higher treatment efficiency will be improved.Highway will be safer and the long-term vision of zero casualty will be achieved.
