With the increase of economic income and national demand of vehicle,the vehicle industry accounts for considerable portion of national total amount of economic.Because of strong marketing competition and short development period and platform development of vehicle industry,the vehicle model upgrading base on body innovation.Hemming has a special position in body manufacture technologies,and it stands for the whole manufacturing level of the company.The hemming deformation mode and hemming defects type,differ from different hemming shape and profile.Hemming defects affect vehicle appearance directly.Although the domestic and overseas studies of press forming technology are in depth,the studies of hemming technology aren’t deep enough,what leads to the lack of coincident agreed quality evaluation and material Performance indicator.So the study of the evaluation standard about hemming feasibility,the analytical method of material and process factor which affect hemming quality,as well as the evaluation method of hemming quality,and so on,has significant necessity and urgency.This thesis introduces a simulated analysis for hemming process by using Autoform.By simulating and analyzing hemming and forming process of one vehicle model’s hood,and comparing with the result of actual manufacturing,it gets methods and skills about building CAE model.Based on that,it builds model to analyze process parameter and affection of hemming defects,and concludes hemming process’ s basic laws and methods of analog study.This simulating and analyzing method has significance on hemming defects’ further prediction and compensation,which can direct manufacture test and provide basic laws on hemming optimizing,also establish basis for hemming standards.
