The Vessel Supplier Evaluation And Selection On The Meager Profit Environment

Since the second half of 2008,because of the international financial crisis and other factors,the abandoned and delay delivery of the vessel appeared,the new ship price decline range is big.Due to the large number of new norms in force and the relationship changes between supply and demand,the shipbuilding cost rises.S company increases control for ship material cost,that the procurement cost account for 70% of the vessel price.In order to win more profit,the lowest bidder supplier is easier to get orders.But the cost is reduced,other problem arise at the same time.This paper introduces the ship industry material and suppliers characteristics.Under the current background of the ship market,S company face with financial pressure,cost pressures,the quality control pressure,and etc.Many problems of the supplier arise due to the emphasis on cost in the choice of suppliers.By introducing the existing supplier management system of S company,this paper indicates the supplier evaluation problems.To solve these problems,the author puts forward the measures and target of classification management to the suppliers.Based on the characteristics of ship construction material suppliers,and considering the particularity of the suppliers in meager profit environment,such as the performance,the willingness to cooperate,the agility and the service,establish the supplier evaluation system based on AHP.The actual case of the evaluation system proves that is implemented and validated.
