In heavy industry,as the key part in power transmission the large AC motors are everywhere in industrial equipment.When a project is invested,the end user always classifies the electric machine to mechanical heavy equipment during system designing,sourcing,as well as operating maintenance.Since the motor is an electrical machine,there is essential difference than the general heavy equipment which is designed mechanically.Therefore,it is urgently required to do the research and analysis to combine the mechanical problems from OEM and electrical limitation from EPC and design institute at the same time.When looking up the literatures,the motor selection information for low voltage motor such as automotive,machine tools,robot and etc.is much more than large motors.However,the common features are also existing in large motors.The main task is focusing on HV AC motors whose voltage is greater than 690 V.First of all,the coding grammar will be summarized from IEC standard to make sure the precisely technical communication.Secondly,a study on how the motor design relies on the cooling method is handled.The benefits speed-power range of synchronous motor and induction motor are defined based on the comparison between them.A flow chart model and a quantized economic index to score the motor proposal are finally given to the motor users as a guidance when they are choosing motors. |
