With the rapid development of the logistics industry,the application of high-rise automatic warehouse storage racks(HAW storage racks)is more and more.But the research on the mechanical properties of HAW storage racks is not yet systematic,and the design of them is lack of economical efficiency.In this paper,a design software focused on HAW storage racks is achieved,and the software is used to study the mechanical properties of them.First of all,on the base of introducing the structure composition of HAW storage racks,the standard type of back support system,the load calculation conditions,the seismic analysis method and the displacement type judging method are provided.Next the design software for HAW storage racks is achieved and its correctness is confirmed.Then the mechanical properties of HAW storage racks is studied by the software,the research objects contain back support system,semi-rigid joints and seismic coefficients.Proper back support distribution mode,back support design parameters and joint stiffness range are obtained,and proper back support distribution method is summarized.Component section selection and economical efficiency of HAW storage racks are studied finally,and the component section selection table is obtained.By the studies above,the main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1)The design software can built,compute and extract main design results of the finite element model of HAW storage racks conveniently and correctly.2)In order to reduce the natural period and column PMM ratio,increase the lateral stiffness and make HAW storge racks the none-displacement structural system,the continuous arrangement of back support is more effective than just increasing its amount.In this paper,“1-3-1” and “2-3-2” modes for back support are the best in single-row storge racks,“1-5-1” mode for back support is the best in double-row storge racks.The proper back support distribution mode is as follow: While the storage rack contains odd columns,the amount of back support is suggested odd;While the storage rack contains even columns,the amount of back support is suggested even;Increase the amount of back support by continuous arranging if possible;Avoid neighbouring back support at the edge of storage racks;3)Increasing the stiffness of beam-column joints can lead to the reduction of natural period,beam deflection and the increasement of lateral stiffness,while the beam PMM ratio will increase after reducing,and HAW storge racks will fail to be none-displacement structural system.So the stiffness of beam-column joints can't be too large or too small in designing HAW storage racks.In this paper,400 kN·m/ rad is the best in single-row storge racks,150 kN·m/ rad is the best in double-row storge racks.4)In the component section selection of HAW storage racks,the mechanical property of beams is independent,it will be influenced mainly by the cargo weight.While the section selection of columns and back support are decided by both cargo weight and earthquake.When the component section selection can be achieved,the efficiency(total cargo weight/the amount of steel)of HAW storage racks can be raised by increasing the cargo weight.
