The Wankel rotor engine is a new rotary four-stroke engine.Compared with the traditional piston engine,the rotary engine has such advantages as compact size,light weight,high output per litre,low vibration and noise,and it can burn a variety of fuels including gasoline,diesel and aviation kerosene.At present,the domestic rotary engine is mainly carburetor type,the fuel atomization quality is poor,with poor power performance,fuel economy and emissions.With the application of electronic control technology on the rotary engine,its various properties have been greatly improved and widely used in UAVs,vehicles,ships and generators.In recent years,with the development of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV),rotary engine as the power source of HEV’s range extender has become a research hotspot.Therefore,the research on the electronic control system of the rotor engine has important theoretical significance and engineering practical value.In this paper,an electronic control system was designed for a certain type of intake port injection gasoline rotary engine.The control strategy of the electronic control system was studied.The main contents of this paper were as follows:(1)The fuel injection system and inductive ignition system of gasoline rotary engine were discussed.According to the mechanism and working principle of the rotary engine,the overall development plan was determined.The specific control strategy of the electronic control system was put forward.The timing control strategy and redundancy diagnosis strategy of the rotary engine were mainly studied,and the precise control of the gasoline rotary engine was realized.(2)According to the control requirement of gasoline rotary engine,the hardware of the electronic control system of the rotary engine was developed.It mainly included the selection of sensors and actuators and the hardware design of electronic control unit.And the hardware anti-interference measures were adopted.(3)According to the control strategy of the electronic control unit,the software program of the electronic control unit was compiled based on the front and back platform and modular software architecture.The design idea and implementation method of the electronic control software were put forward.The software anti-interference measures were adopted to complete the design of the electronic control software.(4)The semi-physical simulation test bench of the electronic control unit was built,The functional modules of the electronic control unit of the rotor engine,including the hardware and software of the functional modules,were verified and tested by semi-physical simulation.The simulation results showed that the developed electronic control unit can work steadily,the output parameters and timing of ignition and fuel injection were correct,and it achieved the expected functions.(5)A rotary engine test bench system was built to further verify the function of the developed electronic control unit.The test showed that the control strategy of the electronic control unit designed can make the rotary engine run stably under various working conditions and meet the control requirements of the rotary engine.The designed electronic control unit can work reliably with strong anti-interference ability. |
