Dedusting devices in which centrifugal force is exploited to precipitate particles are widely used.In modern advanced designs of cyclones it is possible to effectively capture solid or droplet particles ranging in size from 5 μm and more.Dust capture in cyclones is based on the use of particle inertia.In this paper,we study the cyclone separator,which is used to purge the air of particulate matter.This article proposed the idea of cyclone separators with continuous discharge that reduces the secondary entrainment,and therefore increases the efficiency of the cyclone separator: moreover,it removes the pollutant coming out of the lower hole,the density of pollutant being greater than that of air,and provides continuous removal of trapped particles.A prototype of a cyclone separator was developed and manufactured,an experimental stand of a cyclone separator was built.To predict whether to use a prototype for effective air purification,the effect of following parameters was studied: separation efficiency,separation ration,separated particles size,pressure drop(i.e.loss of energy),quantity of particulate matter entering the separator.Magnesium hydroxide and kaolin clay with various mesh were used as particulate matter.In the course of the experiment,the dependence of separation efficiency on the flow rate at the entrance to the cyclone,the pressure at the entrance to the cyclone and the amount of suspended solids entering the cyclone separator was determined.Graphs of the main studied values and their comparison at different meshes dependence were constructed.During the experiment,to determine the performance of each separation cyclone Inlet flow rate,inlet pressure and into the cyclone particulate matter concentration dependencies,and found experimentally that,for 10 μm particles,high separation efficiency,and the captured particles can be removed constant,and for smaller particle size is low particle separation efficiency;the higher the density of additional contamination of the particles.
