The main purpose of this thesis is to provide details information of shear-flexural interaction?SFI?of RC shear walls by using Opensees latest provided modeling.Because Reinforced concrete?RC?structural walls are significant for tall building structures and most effective in resisting lateral loads, such as seismic loads wind loads, due to their high strength and stiffness. In high seismic region, structural walls resist lateral loads. It is not feasible in a strong earthquake to design a Structural wall remains in elastic is,so inelastic deformations are also expected in this work.Analytical modeling conducted to provide insight into the nonlinear cyclic response of moderate aspect ratio reinforced concrete structural walls by using new provided class of Opensees have coupling of flexural and shear responses at the model element level.RC panel behavior described with a constitutive fixed strut-angle panel model into a two-dimensional Multiple-Vertical-Line-Element-Model?MVLEM?used as a baseline. The coupling of axial and shear SFI-MVLEM responses were achieved at the macro-fiber?panel?level.Twenty-four cantilever structural wall specimens, subjected to combine constant axial load and reversed cyclic lateral loading designed and implement in Opensees for analytical results.Primary parameters included aspect ratio?1.6,1.8,2.0,2.2,2.4,2.6,2.8,3.0?,axial load level?0.10Ag fc'?and wall shear stress level(Approximately 4.5,5.5 and 6.5?fc'?1/2psi).Design ratio of the lateral load corresponding to the nominal moment capacity over the nominal shear strength using the specified compressive strength of concrete and specified yield strength of reinforcement is between 0.795 and 0.86.Main objective of this research were:?1?Provide details of increment reinforcement in boundary with respect to aspect ratio.?2?Show nonlinear behavior respond of design shear walls under lateral and axial load and geometry parameters.?3?Discuss the effects of aspect ratio and shear reaction on the hysteretic behavior of specimens at different designed shear under reverse cyclic loading provide details of all necessary information about it.?4?Discuss the Shear flexural interaction of all wall specimens and explain all effects on walls by providing necessary informative graphs and tables.?5?Show all lateral load verses top lateral flexure displacement, top shear displacement and top lateral displacement.?6?Compare the displacement contributions of flexure and shear to the lateral displacements of shear walls.
