Study On The Pedigree Chart Of “Crescent Beam” Of Traditional Architecture In The Southeastern Region

This thesis is a sub-project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China(No.: 51778334),“Research on the inheritance of the classification of the Chuandou-frame in China based on the rescue techniques of traditional construction techniques.”Therefore,based on a lot of field investigations and interviews of traditional wood artisans,this paper analyses and fully records the wood structure building techniques specifically representing of the “crescent beam” component of the existing traditional residential architecture in the Southeast,and theoretically explores structure system and divisions on “crescent beam” components in the southeast region.The introduction part express the research background and research methods.The thesis adopts field research of anthropology in the study of regional mixed characteristics of crescent beam.The first-hand data is accumulated by investigating more than 200 traditional architecture in more than 30 traditional countries,moreover deeply interviewing 4 skilled wood structure artisans,tracing and recording the development of construction sites.sites.On the basis of first-hand data,the thesis analyses the whole process on crescent beam wood structure.The second chapter of the thesis defines the crescent beam,and attempts to establish a “crescent beam” database of traditional architecture in the southeast region through research and study,which serves as the basis for the study of the crescent beam in the southeast region.Analysis examples,historical images and related research,drawing on the way in which the "Fashi" and "Fayuan" describe the crescent beam,extract the beam elements and establish the classification standard of the crescent beam.Try to establish a general description system and naming system for each area.The third chapter of the thesis discusses the use of the crescent beam in different areas and different architectural structures through the study of the relationship between the crescent beam and the wooden-frame.Provides an wooden-frame background for the description of specific beam component styles in the following.The fourth chapter of the thesis classifies all the moon beam styles in the survey area.It is concluded that there are 8 kinds of girders in the crescent beam,and 3 kinds of single-step beams in the crescent beam.The structural characteristics of each type of crescent beam are described by the beam elements such as beam-column connection method,beam elevation surface,beam section shape,under-beam support component style.Compare and summarize the geographical scope of different style types.In the last chapter of the thesis,based on the characteristics of the crescent beam and beam element types which summarized in the previous chapter,establish the three major crescent beam style systems in the southeast region.Combining the similarity comparison of the beam features of the specific crescent beam,analyze the distance between the crescent beam styles of each system,the thesis preliminarily theoretically explores divisions on southeastern region " crescent beam " style.
