With the rapid development of the mobile terminal and Internet,many changes have been taken place in urban travel.The ridesourcing which represented by Didi Express,Uber and Lyft is providing a new option for urban residents.The ridesourcing has an adverse effect on taxi industry.The traditional taxi picks up passengers on the street,and has the advantage of being fast,safe and comfortable.While the ridesourcing platform receive travel demand and broadcast to nearby drivers.It is noticeable that there are some similarities in the function of serving citizens between the ridesourcing and the taxi while ridesourcing also have their own superiority.Therefore,comparing ridesourcing and taxi partially can achieve the advance of regulating ridesourcing market,and providing useful insights for urban public transportation and planning by respectively exploring the spatial and temporal patterns of them,discovering the competition and cooperation.This paper proposes an approach to analyzing the spatiotemporal pattern of ridesourcing using the GPS trajectory data of ridesourcing vehicles and taxi.It mainly includes three steps: First,extract the ridesourcing travel information from raw GPS trajectory using machine learning.Second,the spatial autocorrelation method is used to discover the spatial pattern and spatial agglomeration mode of the ridesourcing trip using spatial analytic,and compared it with the taxi trip.Finally,the similarity theory is used to discover the correlation between the ridesourcing and the taxi,and analyze the reasons for this relationship.Main findings are found as below:(1)The difference between the ridesourcing and the taxi is significant,such as the driver composition,passengers,operation duration,travel distance,and passenger distribution.The spatial and temporal pattern between ridesourcing travels and taxi travels is obvious.Most of the ridesourcing drivers are private car owners who treat this job as a part-time work.The average number of passengers of ridesourcing drivers is much smaller than that of taxi.And taxi providing professional travel services travels longer.(2)The centers of ridesourcing travel appears at Baoan,Nanshan Central District,Futian Central District,Luohu,Longhua and Yantian.In contrast,the clustering of taxi travel occurs at the original GuanNei area,including Taoyuan area,Nanshan District,Futian Central District and Luohu.(3)The relationship between the ridesourcing and taxi is closely related to the location and the travel time.In the original GuanNei area,the ridesourcing is an effective and useful supplement to current urban travel services and meets residents' craving for the convenience.In the original GuanNei area,the ridesourcing and the taxi cooperate and compete with each other.
