As a material remains and historical information carrier of historical, ethnic and religious resources in Inner Mongolia,Tibetan Buddhist architecture has very important research value.Taking the Jade Buddha Hall of Dazhao Temple in Hohhot,Inner Mongolia as the research object, this paper integrates BIM technology and 3D laser scanning technology to study the whole process of building 3D model of ancient architecture and the modeling method of its typical components. It provides a new idea for the digital protection and inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism. The following is the main research content of this paper.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing the law of ancient architecture form, combined with BIM technology and 3D laser scanning technology, this paper proposes the application of the BIM-3D scanning technology integration concept to the method of building solid a model in ancient buildings. The Focus S350 scanner is used to measure the Jade Buddha Hall in Dazhao Temple, and the original point cloud data were obtained. The point cloud is processed with Faro Scene software and the 3D surface model of ancient architecture is constructed by using 3ds Max software.Secondly, taking the inner eaves arches in the Jade Buddha Hall as the representative of the typical components, according to the different ways of obtaining the original data, the forward and reverse methods are used to construct the mode and the ancient building modeling method combining positive and negative is conceived. In the forward Modeling Method,First of all,the original data is obtained by consulting the ancient books data. The second, the original data is converted into CAD dimension details, and the corresponding solid model is constructed in Revit. In the construction of the model,a hierarchical modeling method for complex components is proposed, and each component is named according to the naming rules, and a dimension association based on the modulus of the bucket mouth is created,so that the whole bucket arch can control its size according to the size of the bucket mouth.Among them, some of the components are not elaborated in the ancient books and the original data cannot be obtained,so the model can be established by the reverse modeling method. In the reverse modeling method, the surface model created by 3ds Max is processed into wireframe model by CAD software, and then the wireframe model is loaded into Revit to construct solid model.Through this method, the component model without relevant size data in ancient books can be established, and at the same time, the problem that the reverse model can not be established with Revit loading point cloud data can be solved. Finally, the geometric quality of typical component information model of ancient architecture is evaluated. The 3D model is decomposed into primitive points, primitive lines and primitive planes. The geometric quality of the 3D model is calculated and analyzed by means of random sampling and local evaluation of the whole.By integrating BIM-3D scanning technology, this paper carries out the 3D digital modeling of Jade Buddha Hall and conducts in-depth research on its typical component modeling method. It provides a theoretical basis for the digital protection of Jade Buddha Hall, and helps to promote the protection, restoration and reconstruction of Tibetan Buddhist architecture in Inner Mongolia.
