Discussions On The Humid Environment Of Dwellings In Shanghai In Winter

In order to explore whether the indoor humid environment of the dwellings should be humidified or not in southern China in winter,Shanghai was selected for a questionnaire investigation,and a field investigation on 30 residential buildings which were chosen at random,and a long-term measurement on the selected residential buildings were carried out.Based on 30%-60% of the evaluation criteria,indoor humid environment of heating household and no heating household was proper;indoor humidity ratio was significantly impacted by the outdoor humidity ratio.No matter in the questionnaire investigation or the field investigation about the indoor environment,about 33% of the subjects thought that there were different and they had the demand of humidification;According to the binary logistic regression analysis,the degrees of dryness of indoor air increased by one grade(humid sensation,moderate,dry sensation),occurrence odds of chapped lips increased by 32.1%.The results showed that there was the necessity to humidify the indoor air for some people in Shanghai in winter,though the indoor humid environment was proper according to the long-term measurement.The multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that a humid sensation compared to the dry sensation were more likely to feel cold,occurrence odds of coldness increase by 154%.Thermal sensation and overall comfort had a significant relationship,The feeling of cold thermal sensation was more discomfort than the feeling of warm thermal sensation,occurrence odds of discomfort increased by 447%.Therefore,for it will be more likely to feel cold when indoor environment is humid,which significantly affect the overall comfort,as to the no heating residential building in winter,it should humidify the indoor air to the extent that they will not feel humid for the people who have the demand of humidification;For indoor relative humidity has little effect on human thermal sensation when the temperature is proper,discomfort is more caused by humidity discomfort such as dry skin,chapped lips,as to heating residential buildings,it is necessary to carry out humidification of the indoor air for the people who have the demand of humidification.
