There are many industries related to national economy and people's livelihood.Water supply is one of the important industries.It needs to meet not only pipe network pressure,but also the requiements of water quality.In the conventional process of general water plant,the filter process is generally at the end of the whole process,and the effect of water filtering is related to whether the water turbidity can meet the requirements.Since filter backwash process is complicated,if still using manual operation mode,for the operator will have heavy labor intensity.Work efficiency will be low and there could be a certain risk.Therefore,to meet the needs of modernization,the reconstruction of the filter is necessary and important.In this paper,an automatic control system for the 3rd phase filter of the water plant in southern Shanghai(hereinafter referred to as the Nanpu River Water Plant)is considered.Since the original Spanish SISTEAM M TBX series PLC system can't thoroughly and truly reflect the production process of the pump room and the filter,an automatic filter control system is designed based on Control Logix,which integrated the 3rd phase filter with the former filters.The implementation of this project improves the flushing pump room and the automatic control system of the 3rd phase filter substantially.It takes the first step for improving the technical level of the 3rd phase water producing process,and ensures the long-term normal operation,which has significant social and economic values.According to the requirements for the reconstruction of the filter system,the main work of this paper is as follows:1.The size and status of the 3rd Phase filter are introduced briefly.The disadvantages of SISTEAM M TBX series PLC are analyzed,and the scheme for system modification is developed.2.Based on the technological characteristics,reconstruction scheme,and the original facilities of the 3rd phase filter,the hardware equipments such as PLC and the executing components are selected.The main PLC system of flushing pump house is set up based on Controllogix,and the filter u PLC system is set up based on Compactlogix.The hardware configuration diagram of the control system and the wiring diagram of the I/O module are designed.3.The control software is programmed based on RSLogix5000,including water level PID control,automatic backwash,etc.The man-machine interface is designed on the Intouch10.0 platform.4.Deploying and arranging the reconstruction.Replacing the original system,debugging the hardware equipment,and testing the performance of the whole system.
