The selection of wing box structural type is one of the important contents in the structural design stage.With the widely use of composite materials,the development of computer technology and high-performance design requirements,wing structural types based on High Performance Design Requirements have become more and more complex and diversified.New wing structural type has appeared,such as composite structure,sandwich structure,integral structure,smart structure and so on.Wing box is the main load bearing structure of aircraft structure,selecting wing structural type for which is the most important part.Firstly,the development history and research status of wing structural types at home and abroad are briefly described,and some basic theories and methods for the selection and design of modern wing structural type are introduced.Then three wing box structural types are introduced: multi-wall type,stiffened plate type and fiber reinforced foam sandwich panel type.After that,based on the finite element method,the finite element model of the wing box with three structural types is established.The number of longitudinal members and the lamination thickness of composite panel in all directions are optimized.According to the results of structural optimum design and comparing the optimized structure mass,the structure design parameters with the lightest weight in each wing box structural type are selected.By analysing the mass and the distribution of composite laminate thickness of wing box with the three optimized structural types,the advantages and disadvantages of the three structural types of wing boxs are compared and discussed.Finally,some problems that may need to be paid attention to in the further study of the fiber reinforced foam sandwich panel structural type are also proposed.
