In the era of China’s New Normal,all walks of life are responding to new challenges.As one of the pillar industries of China’s national economy,the automobile industry plays an irreplaceable role in China’s socialist market economy system.According to the statistics of the China Automobile Association,as of the end of 2017,China’s automobile production and sales have been ranked first in the world for nine consecutive years,and it is a veritable automobile producing country and a big consumer country.However,due to policy factors and macroeconomic impact,China’s automobile production and sales in 2018 decreased by 4.16% and2.76% respectively.In particular,the automobile sales service industry was the most affected by the winter in the car market,and many auto dealers were in a difficult situation.The automobile sales service industry is the last mile of the automobile industry and plays an indispensable role in the national economy.Therefore,helping it improve its performance management level and establish a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system will help it out of the operational dilemma and maintain the stable development of China’s automotive industry.However,the performance evaluation system of most auto sales service companies still stays in the traditional stage of business performance evaluation.It is difficult to adapt to the current auto market changes without taking into account the external environmental factors in which the company is located.Introducing the value chain theory into the performance evaluation system of automobile sales service enterprises can help them extend the evaluation scope to the industrial chain,and fully consider the impact factors of the external environment on business operations,so as to find the key links of enterprise value appreciation,and ultimately enhance the core competitiveness of auto sales service companies.After collating and analyzing the related research on value chain theory and performance evaluation,this paper believes that the performance evaluation system based on value chain can be applied to the automobile sales service industry.Therefore,taking the representative company A as an example,the value chain of the automobile sales service enterprise is deeply analyzed from the three dimensions of internal value chain,vertical value chain and horizontal value chain.Then,based on the principle of performance evaluation index selection and the results of value chain analysis,through the financial indicators and non-financial indicators,a performance evaluation system with the characteristics of automobile sales service industry is constructed.After establishing the model,the analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of each indicator,and the industry experts are invited to score the indicators.After the results are brought into the test,the consistency test is passed,indicating that the weight results are scientific and effective.Finally,based on the analysis of the evaluation results,this paper founds that CompanyA still need to focus on customer indicators,actively promote value-added services,maintain good relations with SAIC Volkswagen Group,and proposes future development proposals for Company A based on industry characteristics.This paper combines value chain management theory and performance evaluation theory into automobile sales service,expands the application field of the theory,and designs targeted evaluation indicators according to industry characteristics,and builds a comprehensive and reasonable performance evaluation system.It can provide reference for the performance management of other auto sales service companies.
