With the development of the civilian and military information technology,the development direction of future information network technology will be transformed into “Space-Earth Integeration”.In recent years,with the rapid development and wide application of satellite communication,the requirement of antenna performance in satellite communication system is increasing day by day,for example,the universal of4 G mobile phones、networks and the trial use of 5G mobile phones、networks.The main application scenario of maritime satellite antenna is in ships.The traditional maritime satellite antenna has high radiation efficiency.Although the result is very well,but it’s expensive and many related materials need to be imported.Compared with linear polarized antenna,circularly polarized antenna can receive signals in all directions better.So,it is meaningful to study maritime satellite antenna.Based on the extensive reference to domestic and foreign literature,this paper designs and develops maritime satellite communication antenna by combining theoretical formula calculator,which including antenna’s size,number of antenna and the distance of array.The design mainly includes four aspects,such as microstrip tangential patch antenna unit design,feed network design and microstrip tangential patch antenna array design,dish antenna array design.Firstly,the microstrip tangential patch antenna’s size is theoretically analyzed and simulate the antenna unit,array by software CST.The microstrip tangential patch antenna unit’s gain is from 6dB to 8dB in the working bandwidth and the axis ratio is less than 4dB.The unit antenna has been processed into material object and measured,the results are in good agreement with the simulation results,which shows that the research on microstrip tangential antenna is meaningful.Secondly,before designing the micro-ship antenna array,the feed network need to be designed.This paper mainly has designed two types power dividers,one is called A-type that use a quarter-phase-shifted Wilkinson power divider,the other is called B-type that is a common Wilkinson power divider.According to the array antenna’s performance and the size of the antenna,this paper use the B-type power divider.Thirdly,the microstrip antenna array is designed,and the simulation results are well.Using the theoretical formula,the number of the elements is 4.The maximum gainof the antenna is 11.7dB within the specified bandwidth and the axis ratio(AR)is less than 4dB.Fourthly,according to the parameters of the dish antenna element: the working bandwidth is from 1.518 GHz to 1.675 GHz,the max gain is 6dB and the axis ratio(AR)is less than 4dB.Next,the number of elements need to be estimated theoretically and the planar array is designed according to the estimated results.After array designing,the maximum gain of the antenna is 13 dB and the axis ratio(AR)is still below 4dB.Finally,the paper is summarized and puts forward the prospect of later learning and work.
