With the rapid development of construction industry in our country,the quality requirement of construction mortar is higher and higher.The limitation of traditional building mortar is becoming more and more prominent and its quality is hard to guarantee,so it is difficult to meet the needs of modern construction market.Dry mixed mortar has the characteristics of variety,superior performance,green protection and so on as a new type of building material,so it has been widespreadly used in our country.Basalt powder is a kind of tailings produced when using dry sand making equipment to produce machine-made sand,which is difficult to use and will cause environmental pollution.If the stone powder can be applied to the preparation of dry mixed mortar to prepare various types of mortar which meets the requirements,this can not only reduce the production cost of dry mixed mortar,but also play the effect of tailings utilization and environmental protection.In order to study the application of basalt powder in dry mixed mortar,the following aspects of research have been carried out:(1)The feasibility of using basalt powder in dry mixed mortar is studied by using basalt powder to make mortar specimen.The experimental results show that it is feasible to use basalt powder to prepare dry mixed mortar.(2)The effect of basalt powder content on the properties of mortar was studied by using the calculated mix ratio.The test results show that although the properties of mortar will be reduced by the addition of basalt powder,they can still meet the requirements of the code for each performance.(3)According to the test results of mortar test block,the mix proportion of drymixed masonry mortar mixed with basalt rock powder is designed.The effect of the ratio of basalt powder instead of machine-made sand on the performance of dry-mixed masonry mortar was studied.The experimental results show that with the increase of the substitution rate of basalt powder,the water consumption of mortar to maintain the specified consistency increases,and the water retention increases,and the setting time and the apparent density decreases,and the compressive strength of the 28 d cube decreases.(4)According to the test results of dry mixed masonry mortar mixed with basalt powder,the mix proportion of dry mixed plastering mortar mixed with basalt powder is designed.The effect of basalt powder on the properties of dry mixed plastering mortar was studied.(5)The early shrinkage and deformation properties of dry mixed mortar are studied,and the dry shrinkage value of dry mixed mortar is predicted.The experimental results show that after the dry mixed mortar begins to dry,with the increase of drying age,the water loss rate of mortar and the drying shrinkage value increases continuously,and the growth rate is faster in the early stage and it becomes slower in the later stage.The water loss rate and drying shrinkage of mortar both increase with the increase of the substitution rate of basalt powder.
