With the wind turbine becoming larger and larger, the power of the generator is increasing, which bring a lot of negative factors in vibration, noise, safety and stability etc.The mechanical vibration of the generator is mainly from the low-frequency vibration produced by the unbalanced centrifugal force of the rotor mass eccentricity. When working normally, the excitation frequency and force will be transmitted from generator to the frame, which harm the fatigue strength and lifetime. This study combined with the actual needs of enterprises to carry out the generator system vibration optimization design research, which has good theoretical basis and prospects for engineering application.Based on the dynamics theory, the causes of the vibration failure are analyzed, and the modal of the system is obtained by FEA simulation. After that, the vibration characteristics in fault condition are reappeared by harmonic response analysis.Based on the practical problems, the orthogonal experiment of 4 factors and 3 levels is designed. The optimal solution is obtained by a series of analyzes. Finally, based on the results of orthogonal experiment and engineering practice,a method of vibration reduction is proposed. Then, the optimization design is applied to production practice. After the full power platform test, the vibration data of the test were collected by the sensor, and the optimization effect is obviously effective, which has good theoretical basis and application prospect.
