Study On Landscape Elements’ Evaluation For Qiang Minority Traditional Settlement In Western Sichuan

Qiang minority with a long history is extremely vital in Chinese national history.Qiang minority settlements are mainly concentrated in western Sichuan.The unique geographical features and cultural background have created a traditional village settlement.Settlement landscape environment is the most direct presentation of settlements.At this stage,traditional settlements have been affected by the impact of social and economic development.The Qiang people’s lifestyle and settlement landscape environment are facing renewal and development.How to maintain the traditional settlement landscape environment and sustainable development is a new challenge.In this paper,firstly based on the background of literature and the existing research basis,and then synthesizes the domestic and foreign related research results and summarizes the ecological background,landscape pattern,spatial form and landscape elements of the traditional settlements in Western Sichuan.Secondly,the most representative Qiang Stockade Village of Taoping is selected as the research area and 42 evaluation factors representing the landscape characteristics of Qiang traditional settlement are selected.The landscape evaluation system for the traditional settlements of the traditional settlement was constructed which resulted in seven evaluation dimensions.In order to further explore the relationship between the landscape evaluation system and the perception of landscape elements,a model for the relationship between landscape elements and landscape perception was established.The ultimate goal of the article is to propose landscape awareness improvement and landscape element improvement strategies based on the results of this study.
