The Quantitative Research On Landscape Colors In Yashu Category Of Xishu Garden

Yashu category of Xishu garden originated from official subordinate.Then,it got detached from the official subordinate and became a memorial gardern of celebrities.It is the most representative type of Xishu gardern in the southwest regional branch of chinese classical gardens.Currently,Xindu Guihu Garden,Xinfan Donghu Garden,Chongzhou Yanhuachi Garden and Guanghan Panghu Garden are the only four of this type of gardens preserved,among which,the landscape and architecture in Xindu Guihu Garden?Xinfan Donghu Garden and Chongzhou Yanhuachi Garden are the most completely reserved.As it comes to the landscape and architecture inheritance on the visual level,The landscape colors become the most important basis.Researching on the landscape colors of Yashu category of Xishu garden is helpful for understanding the aesthetic form of this type of gardens and for us to grasp its gardening style variation.Meanwhile,the scientific record and analysis of the landscape colors in the researching process will provide reliable data and information for the future maintenance and development of Yashu category of Xishu garden.So far,the systematic research and investigation on the landscape colors of Xishu garden system are still absent.Thus,research on the landscape colors of Yashu category of Xishu garden has important significance on improving Xishu garden system.In this research,we took Xindu Guihu Garden?Xinfan Donghu Garden and Chongzhou Yanhuachi Garden as our researching objects and celected two classical garden elements,the landscape architecture and landscape plants as the main carrier of the landscape colors.Measures of literature reviewing,field investigation,statistical analysis,induction and deduction were adopted and through one year of color chart comparison on the sites combining with photographing plotting,detailed color quantization data were collected and organized for 50 landscape architecture and 41 landscape plants of Yashu category of Xishu gardens.Thus,we generalized 88 Color Model Diagrams and various of typical colors of the landscape architecture and we summarized the typical colors of leaves,flowers,and fruits according to the four season Color Community of the landscape plants.Then,we further analyzed the characteristics of the various color of landscape architecture and the leaves,flowers,and fruits four seasons colors with the support of hue ring and blackness and chromaticness of The Natural Color Syetem scatter diagrams,therefore concluded the landscape architecture color matching mode and the four season variation rule of landscape plants of Yashu category of Xishu garden.Following that,based on the chinese traditional color concepts and chinese traditional landscape plants aesthetic tendency,we analyzed the formation background of the color of the landscape architecture and landscape plants of Yashu category of Xishu garden.In the end,we illustrated the important factors of the inheritance of Yashu category of Xishu garden landscape colors on the aspects of architecture and plants.Results of the research:(1)According to the carrier and stability of the landscape colors,we determined static color and dynamic color as the perspectives to study the color of architecture and plants in Yashu category of Xishu gardens;we categorized the landscape architecture into Tinglang Group?Geshan Group and Chuangyoumendong Group three color units according to the structure characteristics of the traditional landscape architecture;then,according to the seasonal changing and the ornamental part of landscape plants,we categorized landscape plants into Spring Color Community,Summer Color Community,Autumn Color Community and Winter Color Community and study the leaf colors,flower colors and fruit colors respectively;(2)Based on the color data acquired from site color comparison,the architecture colors of Yashu category of Xishu garden include 7 low chromaticness color group,black,red,brown,purple,white,and gold.The typical colors of each color group were summarized;On the other hand,the plants color of Yashu category of Xishu garden include 7 main leaf colors: olive,yellowish green,green,red,orange,yellow,purple;and 6 main colors of flowers: peach,red,orange,yellow,purple and white;6 fruit colors: yellowish green,green,olive,yellow,red and white.Likewise,the typical colors of each color group were summarized.(3)Through plotting 88 Color Model Diagram of the landscape architecture,we summarized the landscape architecture color matching mode of Yashu category of Xishu garden,classifying as Dominant Color,Harmonious Color and Decorative Color;Base on the quantitative data analysis to the four season color community of leaf color,flower color and fruit color,we made conclusion on the seasonal plant color changing rules of Yashu category of Xishu garden;(4)We compared “The System Of Fundamental Color And Secondary Color” derived from chinese traditional color concepts with the Natural Color System,made sure the color of architectures are from “The System Of Fundamental Color And Secondary Color”;Baced on the 27 species of landscape plants listed in “Zhangwuzhi” we compared the landscape plant species in Yashu category of Xishu garden,made sure the plants colors of Yashu category of Xishu garden were influenced by the chinese traditional landscape plants aesthetic tendency;We summarized the key points of landscape plants and arthitecture reservation and inheritance of Yashu category of Xishu garden on the aspects of landscape colors.
