A Study On The Aesthetic Characteristics Of Architectural Forms In Art Nouveau

Architecture has art value which is based on aesthetic,so to a certain extent,it can be regarded as a work of art.The aesthetic characteristics of architecture are mainly reflected in the form of architecture.Therefore,the aesthetic feeling of architecture is realized through the operation of architectural form.The Art Nouveau movement is the pioneer of Modern Movement,and the aesthetic characteristics of form is the most important characteristics of Art Nouveau architecture which had many innovative forms of manipulation from the turning point of the classical to the modern.These innovative forms endow the aesthetic sense of the architecture and it has become the reference and traceability of the aesthetic form for modern architecture.First,this dessertation expounds the concept of aesthetic characteristics of architectural form with the theory development of architectural form,whose basic feature is the aesthetic characteristics.Besides,the manipulation techniques based on aesthetics are the methods of analyzing,interpreting and designing the architecture.Then,this article explains the aesthetic value of the Art Nouveau architectural form.It puts forward the main features of the Art Nouveau architecture in the aspect of formal aesthetics: the pattern and symbolism of ornament,the reinterpretation of the concepts of components and spaces,and the sublation of classical aesthetics system.Then combining a large number of cases and diagram study,the form realization by the Art Nouveau architects are analyzed.The importance of the aesthetic features of the Art Nouveau architecture which built the architectural art value is discussed.The functional decoration brings the spatial atmosphere and various visual feelings under different scales.The reinterpretation of the formal concepts brings more free spatial and graphical visual effects.The classical aesthetic system brings harmonious composition feeling and humanized space atmosphere.Finally,this dessertation summarizes the teaching and enlightenment of the Art Nouveau architecture.It summarizes the influence of the the Art Nouveau architecture on the form of Modern architecture,and puts forward the inspiration and reference of the Art Nouveau architecture to the contemporary Chinese architectural design practice.
