The Research On The Development And Design Of Rustic Boutique Hotels Based On The Conservation And Restoration Of Vernacular Settlements

In recent years,with the promotion of the strategy of rural revitalization of the Chinese government,a large number of rural tourism industries with ecological and cultural resources have been upgraded.The traditional tourism mode is shifting towards the mode of deep experience tourism.In the rural tourism industry,the advantages of rustic boutique hotels such as carrying homesickness,enhancing the communication between hosts and guests and promoting the integrated development of local industries make it an excellent entry point for developing the regional tourism of vernacular settlements.Vernacular settlements are important carriers of historical culture,agricultural civilization,nostalgia feelings and natural features and they provide a good cultural foundation,emotional support and material environment for the rise and development of rustic boutique hotels.Therefore,the development of rustic boutique hotels in vernacular settlements has been vigorously promoted in recent years.From the perspective of the development of rustic boutique hotels,the way to find a solution to protect these characteristic vernacular settlements and local buildings reasonably in the complex situation,and at the same time to promote the development of regional tourism and contribute to the formation of open and diverse new rural culture has become the subject of my study.In view of the dual problems that rural tourism development causes damage to the original natural form of vernacular settlements and the original state of settlements is difficult to adapt to the development needs of rural tourism industry,this paper tries to analysis and compare three typical practical cases of rustic boutique hotels in order to conduct the research on development and design of rustic boutique hotels in rural settlements.Based on the case study above,this paper concludes the necessary factors and characteristic elements for the successful development of rustic boutique hotels in vernacular settlements.Then it puts forward the factors influencing the development and planning of rustic boutique hotels of vernacular settlements: the geographical location,the resource conditions,the overall settlement conditions,the settlement buildings,and the development and operation mode of rustic boutique hotels.The paper summarizes the design methods of rustic boutique hotels in vernacular settlements after the analysis of the prototype and cases.The design methods include the adaptive transformation of functional space,the regional expression of architectural style,the suitability selection of technology suitability and thelocal construction of external environment.Finally,taking the reconstruction project of villager’s residence in Longdong,Deyang city as a practical case,the architectural design method summarized above is verified.It is hoped that it can provide some enlightenment for the renewal process of vernacular settlements which take rustic boutique hotels as the development direction.
