China suffers from severe typhoon disasters every year, especially a large number of low-rise gable-roof residential buildings distributed in rural areas of southeastern coastal provinces have become the main cause of huge wind damage due to poor wind resistance. Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively grasp the law of the wind pressure distribution on the surface of low-rise gable-roof residential buildings and the interference effects on their wind load distribution from surrounding buildings,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the wind-resistant design of such buildings. In this paper, the numerical simulation method based on computational fluid dynamics is used to study the wind load distribution on the surface of a single low-rise gable-roof building, and its wind load interference effect under two and group conditions. The main contents are as follows:1.Based on FLUENT 16.0,a numerical simulation of the model of the Type B low-rise gable-roof of Tokyo Polytechnic University with a height-to-depth ratio of 1:4 is carried out,and the datas obtained from numerical simulation are compared with the wind tunnel test datas. The feasibility and correctness of numerical simulation method in simulating the wind pressure on the surface of low-rise buildings is verified.2.The airflow interference between a single-story gable-roof building and a flat-roof building is simulated and analyzed, taking the height of the flat-roof building, the arrangements and wind direction angles into account.By comparison,it is found that: the interference effect of the 1-storey flat-roof building on the wind pressure of the target building's roof is obviously different from the interference effect of the 2-4 storey flat-roof building;as a whole, when the two buildings are arranged in parallel, the change of the disturbing building's height has the most obvious influence on the change of the average wind pressure coefficient of the disturbed building. The tandem arrangement is the second, and the staggered arrangement is weakest, and the interference amplification effect is the largest when the buildings are arranged in parallel. The closer the partirions of the disturbing building's roof are to the disturbed building, the greater the influence of the disturbance is.In order to reflect the influence of the amplified interference effect on the average wind pressure coefficient of the roof, the interference coefficient of the roof wind pressure of the disturbed building under three different arrangements is given for the wind resistance design.3.The simulation analysis of the wind load disturbance effect of a regular building group consisting of 8 flat-roof buildings and a gable-roof residental building by numerical simulation method are carried out.The results show that: the interference effect of the 1-storey flat-roof building on the wind load of the target building's roof is obviously different from that of the 2-4 storey flat-roof building. The interference effect of the 1-storey flat-roof building is greater. The impact of the windward roof A is greater than that of the leeward roof B,and the wind pressure in the roof and the leeward roof near the ridge area are greater than those in other areas. For the leeward roof B,when the disturbing building is a flat-roof building with more than 2 storey, the height of the disturbing building increases, which makes the “occlusion effect” increase, and correspondingly the interference effect of reducing the wind pressure on the roof of the disturbed building increases.
