VANET is a real-time,intelligent transportation network featuring motion patterns limited by roads, diverse transmission data, and frequent topological changes.Because of the fast speed of vehicles, the contact time between vehicles is short, which is not conducive to the effective transmission of multimedia data.In the highway scene,in order to solve the problem that the data transmission path is single, the communication link has a short duration, the network coding and the roadside unit are introduced to assist the data transmission. In this thesis, the existing traditional VANET routing protocol and network coding based VANET routing protocol are studied.Based on this,a network coding strategy in VANET of highway scene is proposed. When the vehicle node transmits data,it first judges the role played by the vehicle node, and selects one of the best transmission paths as the main path of the encoded data packet according to the relative position information of the vehicle node, the difference of the requested content storage node, and the vehicle density. The path acts as a secondary path for the transmission of encoded packets. Finally, the routing strategy proposed in this thesis is implemented by the opportunistic network simulator ONE simulation. The routing strategy proposed in this thesis is compared with the traditional routing strategy, the traditional routing strategy added to the network coding, and the traditional routing strategy of the multi-path assistance transmission added to the roadside unit respectively, and the advantages and disadvantages of the four routing strategies are analyzed.According to the experimental results, the routing strategy proposed in this thesis can effectively improve the message delivery rate, reduce the average network delay and network overhead.
