Research On Location Choice Of China's Energy Industry's Direct Investment In Countries Along " The Belt And Road Initiative"

China is a major energy producer and consumer in the world today.Primary energy,including oil,natural gas and coal,is also an essential strategic resource for economic development.It involves the country's energy security and the game between big countries and has multiple attributes such as economy and politics.With the sustained and stable development of China's economy,as well as the vigorous development of sustainable economy in recent years and the acceleration of the pace of energy structure transformation,China's demand for oil and natural gas is increasing year by year and its dependence on foreign countries is increasing day by day.The increasingly sharp contradiction between domestic energy supply and demand and the increasingly fierce competition for energy among the world's major powers have all prompted China's energy enterprises to strengthen their efforts to continue to "go global" in order to achieve stable development of enterprises and the country.However,the advantages of large state-owned enterprises in China and the new historical opportunity of "the belt and road initiative" also provide the possibility for China's energy enterprises to "go out" better.Countries along the "the belt and road initiative" are rich in natural resources and mostly in economically underdeveloped areas.The proposal of the "the belt and road initiative" initiative provides a new path for China's energy enterprises to implement foreign direct investment.Because the "the belt and road initiative" initiative involves a large number of countries and these countries belong to different regions,and these countries or regions have great differences in economic environment,political environment,cultural environment and technological level.Some regions have high risks such as unstable situation and more complicated investment environment.Therefore,countries that invest should be selected more carefully.Therefore,as the pillar industry of the national economy,energy enterprises as the main force of China's enterprises to "go out" to carry out foreign direct investment,it is obviously very important to choose where to carry out direct investment.This paper,by looking up relevant information and data,comprehensively considers and selects 8 "the belt and road initiative" countries as possible target countries for direct investment,and evaluates the investment situation of these countries by using AHP,thus obtaining the order of 8 countries in energy investment,and obtaining the conclusion that Saudi Arabia,Iran and Russia are recommended to invest first,UAE,India and Kazakhstan need to invest cautiously,while Malaysia and Indonesia do not recommend investment.At the same time,relevant suggestions are provided for China's energy enterprises to carry out foreign direct investment.The main points are: to distinguish the primary and secondary investment locations,to focus on Saudi Arabia and Iran,to be supplemented by investments in other countries,to strengthen the assessment of the investment environment of countries along the "the belt and road initiative" route;For our government,we should continue to strengthen energy diplomacy and effectively help our energy enterprises to "go out".
