At present,China's aging population is in a stage of sustained and rapid development, and society is seriously concerned about the overall quality of life of the elderly, and transportation is an important part of the life of the elderly. However, physical fitness and reaction ability of the elderly are decreasing with the increase of age.The physical limitation of the physical ability leads to the need for easy operation, safety and convenience for the transportation needs of the elderly. Therefore, public transport is the main way to travel independently, which leads to a definite choice of travel mode, and the special needs of the elderly to the traffic system are becoming increasingly prominent. The emergence of autonomous vehicles and shared autonomous vehicles will give the elderly the opportunity to travel independently and enrich their travel modes. However, different travel modes need to be constantly improved and perfected as they step into the traffic system. They will coexist with public transport for a long time. Therefore,it is of great significance to discuss the choice behavior of aging for public transport, autonomous vehicles and shared autonomous vehicles to meet their travel demand. This paper takes the travel behavior of the as research object, integrates the objective and subjective factors affecting the travel of the elderly, and expands the psychological latent variables and travel attribute variables on the basis of the ecological model to establish an extended ecological model as theoretical framework. Then this paper analyzes the internal mechanism of elderly travel choice behavior for public transport, autonomous vehicles and shared autonomous vehicles from basic conditions, psychological factors and travel attributes base on the theoretical framework.Designing a measurement scale that is consistent with the characteristics and psychological activities of the elderly based on the extended ecological model,a reliable test and a validity test are performed on the obtained data.Based on the empirical data, this paper studies the relationship between subjective and objective factors and the influence on behavioral intention with Multiple Indicators and Multiple Causes model. The Generalized Random Regret model is used to calibrate the extended travel attribute variables, and the regret weight of travel decision-making is discussed. The applicability of the extended ecological model in the field of travel behavior of aging is verified. Finally, some suggestions and strategies are advanced for the travel demand of the elderly. This paper expands the ecological model and applies it to the research of the travel choice behavior of aging for public transport, autonomous vehicles and shared autonomous vehicles for the first time.It has carried out multi-level and all-round discussion. The results can serve as a scientific basis for the traffic management department to formulate relevant policies and measures when considering the travel demand of the elderly.
